Abstract

The author to express his deep sense of gratitude and sincere thanks to Prof. Dr. A M. Farooque, Vice-Chancellor of Shere-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka, Bangladesh for his guidance and suggestion during the period of study and preparation of the thesis. I do sincerely acknowledge the help and cooperation of Prof. Dr. Azad F. M. Sharfuddin of the Department of Horticulture, in this regard. Who is also the co-supervisor of the Ph.D. Supervisory Committee. The author wishes to express his cordial thanks to Prof. Dr. M. A. Rahim, of the Department of Horticulture, for his continuous supervision and advise in the conducting study and in write up of this thesis.
