Abstract

Mr. Muhammad Ruhul Amin was born 1st January 1968 in the village Raghabpur, Mymensingh sadar, Mymensingh, in his maternal home. His permanent address is Vill- Dhurua, P.O-Ramgopalpur, Upazila- Gouripur, Mymensingh. His father's name is Md. Abdul Motaleb and mother's name is late Hazera Khatun. He received his primary education from Raghabpur government primary school. Then he admitted himself into the Shambhuganj U.C high school in class six. He passed the S.S.C examination in the year 1983 and secured first divition from the same school and he obtained H.S.C in the year 1985 from Mymensingh College, Mymensingh securing first division. In 1986 he admitted himself into the Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh in the Faculty of Fisheries. He obtained his B.Sc. Fisheries (Hons) degree in the year 1989 (held in 1992) and M.Sc (Aquaculture & Management) from the same University in the year 1990 (held in 1995). Mr. Amin started his carrier as a program organizer in BRAC in 1992. Then he joined Mymensingh Aquaculture Extension Project (MAEP) as a Training Officer, 1st December 1993. In 1995 he again changed his job and joined in the department of Youth Development under the Ministry of Youth Development and Sports as a Senior Instructor (Fisheries). Here he continued up to 21st February 1998. 22nd February 1998 he joined as an Upazila Fisheries Officer in the Department of Fisheries under the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock through 17th BCS. Mr. Amin recently visited Peoples Republic of China to attend the training program on 'Aquaculture management for Bangladesh.' As a researcher Mr. Amin has twelve scientific national publications. He presented large number of research paper in different seminar and workshops in Bangladesh. He has been received a large number of in-service training. He also successfully completed the 'Foundation Training' organized by the Bangladesh Public Administration Training Centre (BPATC). Recently he received a training on 'Financial Management and Public Procurement Procedure' organized by the Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council (BARC). Mr. Amin has got married and he is the father of two children. His wife is a lecturer of Philosophy of Alamgir Monsur Memorial (Mintu College) college, Mymensingh.
